Sophisticated Productions, catchy name huh? Well it perfectly summarizes my work in two words, which made it ideal as a company name!
I originally got into photography for fun, to capture moments that I could look back on, and as an outlet for creativity. However, as time went on and as I learnt more about the art of photography, I quickly realized that it was the perfect medium to express myself. So, I started taking photos, a lot of photos. Of almost anything that looked interesting. I realized it’s the perfect medium to express my creativity, because there’s always a thousand angles you can look at something and convey it’s mood and tone. Thus, as time went on my photos started to slowly get better and better. Constantly evolving and learning something new every time I went out shooting. There was a time in high school/college where i would zone out for hours-on-end just day dreaming about different edits and pictures i wanted to take. I caught the photography bug. To this day, when I take my SD card out of the camera and load it onto my computer, it feels like Christmas morning.
After about three years of photography I discovered that my camera can do more then take photos...it can also shoot video. Which is when started diving into the realm of video editing & videography. I wanted my photos to come to life! So, I trekked on, learning something new from every article, video, shooting session, and book. At this point I was obsessed with getting better and creating seamless videos that have a very natural flow to them.
I don’t claim to be the best. But, what I do claim to be is ambitious, persistent, and hungry for opportunity. I started this company as a form of a rebellion. A rebellion against every single person that told me I should just keep photography as a hobby, that I would fail, that the market’s over-saturated, that I’m not good enough, that it’s too risky and I shouldn’t follow my inspirations, that my future is unknown. Well to those people i say watch.
Watch me as I depart upon this journey into the abyss. Into the land of dreams and inspirations. Watch as I work my ass off to achieve what people told me I never could.
Watch as I go from simple, to sophisticated.
